GVS9000 2XU VTR is a low profile rack mountable system occupying less than 19" deep rack space. It's an innovative, completely ruggedized field recorder, designed with open architecture and extreme low power consumption, providing you the ability to record uncompressed HD to large number of codecs while in motion.

Users can quickly capture video and audio clips of any length and size either manually, via remote control, scheduled or camera controlled. At only 3.5"(8.9cm) high and 21"(53.3cm) deep, several 2XU VTR stations can be stacked in a compact area, offering 8 concurrent uncompressed 4:4:4 recordings with one simple record button, with 16xchannel of audio, genlock and timecode i/o support.

9000 2XU VTR uncompressed removable disks offer immediate editing anywhere. Another one of the unique options that 2XU VTR offers for live event, sports, and news is editing media during capture. 9000 VTR's also offer proxies files for editors which assist in content production within your office or across the web edit and preview. But perhaps the 9000 VTR's key feature is its ability to create duplicate HD disks simultaneously. While one remains with the VTR, the 2nd hot-swap disk goes out to the post house, for immediate edit without the need for file conversion or data transfer.

Additional edit options available with 9000 2XU VTR can provide complete uncompressed DPX, QuickTime or JPEG files after or during capture, with HD SDI preview, with time code embedded file support during edit with mark-in and mark-out as well as XML clip capability allowing operators to mark subclips on the fly, and modular architecture supports multiple record, playback and editorial channels in the studio or out in the field.

2XU offers Pre-Read recording uncompressed 8-bit/10-bit option offering non-destructive pre-read and post-read functions. Pre-Read (where the HD SDI signal is written to the disk, and up to 5 seconds after it's written, you are able to playback) allows a 2nd read head to function using the same content during recording to playback. The playback can be activated with TCP/IP, RS422, or GPIB Input. 2XU is also able to do synchronized playback with Audio.

For online storage, the 9000 2XU VTR is designed with multiple redundant drives to ensure data security at any given point during recording, even when recording in motion, such as in a vehicle chase, or high speed races, where you need to record uncompressed content direct from HD SDI camera to disk.

9000 2XU VTR offers with Solid State Disk (SSD) providing much higher product capability without sacrificing features.
SSD is offered for all the models of 9000 2XU VTR, giving users the ability to maintain high data access, and providing greater stability and ruggedness, a simple upgrade path, and the option for future growth.

GVS also offers custom digital camera interfaces for support of simple recording and stop with real-time preview on the FlyPack with three different SDI format at the time during recording . For multiple camera shoots, GVS offers a simple and easy shared storage option using GVSAN to help simplify uncompressed content without the need to transfer in the production environment. With the GVSAN technology you get the highest data access and most quiet on-set recorder. Connect via 4/8GB fibre channel to the Nomadic4U or and GVS9000 4XU running GVSBASS (broadcast automation software solution) with direct support FCP/Avid you have a a complete solution to capture, store, edit, broadcast and archive in a shared fiber environment.
